MELVYN K. ROTH, was admitted to the Bar in 1968, at which time he was appointed an Assistant District Attorney for Nassau County in 1968 and served in that office from 1968 to 1981. At the time he resigned from the District Attorney's Office in 1981 to commence a private practice, he served as the Chief of the Rackets Bureau, supervising investigations into organized crime and narcotics.

The concentration of Mr. Roth's practice has been in the area of White Collar criminal defense, specializing in Tax Evasion and Fraud; Banking offenses; Federal Program Fraud; Healthcare Fraud and RICO. He is admitted to practice before the Federal Courts in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.

He has served as a Special Counsel to the New York Police Officer's Benevolent Association and the Port Authority Officer's Benevolent Association. He has also been appointed a Special Prosecutor by the Nassau County District Attorney's Office, the City of Long Beach and the Village of Lawrence Justice Court.

Mr. Roth was also an Adjunct Associate Professor of Criminal Law at Adelphi University from 1976 to 1989. He is a member ofthe Nassau County Bar Association and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

From 1981 to 2002 Mr. Roth was of Counsel to the law firm of Morton Weber & Associates. He presently maintains an office at 666 Old Country Road, Garden City, New York. He has served as legal advisor to the Advancement for Commerce and Industry; has been on the Executive Board ofthe Long Island Chapter of the American Diabetes Association and has been a member and officer of the Five Towns Chapter of Advancement for the Help of Retarded Children. In September, 2010, Mr. Roth was named one of Long Island's "Top Legal Eagles" by Long Island Pulse Magazine.

Mr. Roth received a B.A. from Hofstra University in 1964 and an LLB from Brooklyn Law School in 1967. He currently resides in Hewlett, New York with his wife Allison and has two grown children.
